Terms of use
Last updated 7 September 2026
These terms cover using the Hair Time Salon website and apps to book an appointment with us. Booking with us means you accept them.
Booking
A booking holds a stylist and a chair for a set length of time. The price shown when you book is the price for the service you chose. If you ask for something different once you are in the chair, the price changes to match what was actually done, and your stylist will tell you before starting.
Changing or cancelling
You can move or cancel a booking in the app up to four hours before it starts. Inside four hours, ring the salon and we will sort it out with you. If you miss an appointment without telling us more than once, we may ask for a deposit on future bookings.
Turning up late
We hold your chair for fifteen minutes. After that the stylist may have to shorten the service or move you to the next free slot, because the person after you booked their own time.
Payment
Pay in the app when you book, or pay at the salon after your service. Card payments are handled by our payment provider. Tips are optional and go to your stylist.
Voice notes and photos
Anything you record or upload is used only to do your hair properly. Do not send anything you would not want your stylist to see or hear. We can delete any of it on request.
The assistant
The in app assistant answers from our own service list and salon information. It can be wrong. Nothing it says changes a price we have already quoted you, and it never books, moves or charges anything without you pressing confirm.
Results
Hair is not a machine part. We will tell you honestly what is achievable on your hair before we start, and if we get something wrong we will put it right. Colour services carry a patch test requirement, and we may refuse a service if the patch test is skipped.
Our side
We keep the app running and the book accurate. If the app goes down, the salon phone still works and your existing bookings still stand. We can suspend an account that abuses staff or makes repeated fake bookings.
Changes
If we change these terms we will show the new version in the app before your next booking. New Jersey law applies.
