Privacy policy

This policy covers the Hair Time Salon website and the Hair Time Salon apps for iPhone and Android. It explains what we hold about you, why we hold it, and how you get rid of it.

What we collect

When you book we take your name and your mobile number. If you sign in with an email address we take that too. When you pay by card, the card details go straight to our payment provider and never reach our servers, so all we keep is the amount, the date and the last four digits on the receipt.

If you send a voice note with a booking, we store the recording and the text version of it so your stylist can read it before you sit down. If you upload a photo of a style you like, we store that photo against your booking. If you use the assistant, we store the messages so the conversation makes sense the next time you open it.

We also keep your booking history, which stylist you usually see, and the ratings you leave, because that is what makes rebooking one tap instead of five.

Why we hold it

To run your appointment, to remind you about it, to take payment, and to answer you when you ask us something. If you opted in, we also use your number to tell you about offers. You can turn that off in the app at any time and it does not affect your bookings.

Who else sees it

Our stylists and managers see your bookings, your notes and your voice notes, because that is the job. Our payment provider sees what it needs to take the payment. Our messaging provider sees your number so it can deliver the reminder. Nobody buys your details from us, because we do not sell them.

How long we keep it

Booking and payment records are kept for seven years because tax rules require it. Voice notes and photos are deleted twelve months after the visit they belong to, or sooner if you ask. Assistant conversations are deleted after twelve months.

Deleting your account

There is a delete account button inside the app, under settings. Pressing it removes your name, number, email, photo, notes and voice recordings, and cancels anything you had booked. The payment records stay, with your name taken off them, because we are required to keep them. You can also email us and we will do it for you within thirty days.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can turn off offer messages without turning off booking reminders. Voice recording is optional and the app works fully without it.

Children

The app is not for children under thirteen. We cut children’s hair, but the booking is made by a parent using their own account.
